HAND-MADE IN POLAND: Premium Knife Sharpening Strop Crafted from the highest quality 3mm (1/8") vegetable leather, this strop is bark-tanned in the Podhale region using a 17th-century recipe. The hardwood paddle-shaped handle is made from sustainably-sourced Beechwood (Fagus sylvatica) from Carpathian mountains forests, FSC-certified to ensure responsible management.
LARGE AND COMFORTABLE: - Size and Working Surface: The large 320mm (12.6") x 60mm (2.36") strop features a working area of 206mm (8.11") x 56mm (2.17"). - Handle: Ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip, the handle is perfect for various sharpening techniques.
VERSATILE AND EASY TO USE: - Polishing Compound: Apply to the rough or smooth side based on your preferences. Most users choose white compounds for the rough side and green for the smooth side, but you can opt for coarser or finer grits. - Usage Technique: Always strop after sharpening with your finest stone, pulling the blade backwards with low pressure and maintaining the same or slightly shallower angle.
WIDE RANGE OF APPLICATIONS: - Versatile Use: This strop is ideal for honing and buffing straight razors, chisels, hunting knives, pocket knives, kitchen (chefs) knives, and other tools requiring a razor-sharp edge.
SPECIAL HONING COMPOUNDS: - Included: Softening balm and four grits of Bacher polishing compound: Red 2000 (medium), White 5000 (fine), Green 8000 (very-fine), and Black 12000 (ultra-fine), all fit perfectly for leather honing belts and strops. - Ease of Use: Soft and easy to apply, the Bacher compounds are designed to enhance the performance of your strop while conditioning the leather with lanoline and beeswax (7g/1/4 oz each).
